Job Description:
A company is looking for an Authorization Specialist II to
support the prior authorization request process and assist the
utilization management team.
Key Responsibilities
Aids the utilization management team by tracking and documenting
authorizations and referrals
Researches and documents medical information for authorization
reviews
Verifies member insurance coverage and processes authorization
requests in accordance with guidelines
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
1 - 2 years of related experience
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance preferred
Proficient in Excel highly preferred
