Job Description:
University of Miami is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Infusion
Level II for a nursing job in Hollywood, Florida. Job Description &
Requirements
--- Monitors therapeutic responses and side effect, and obtains
pharmacokinetic blood samples and other laboratory specimens as
required by each protocol.
--- Assists in maintenance of up to date protocol information in
clinical areas. Documents in a concise accurate and legible manner
according to clinical practice standards.
--- Supports patients and their families during trial treatment.
Works to educate patients and their families about their treatment
and protocol requirements Utilizes independent learning methods to
become knowledgeable about new protocols and protocol changes.
--- Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
--- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor's
degree (BSN) preferred. RNs hired with an Associates (ASN) degree
have 2 years to complete the BSN degree.
--- Oncology Nurse Society Chemotherapy and Biotherapy
Administration Guidelines provider course required. Oncology
certified (OCN) preferred.
--- Minimum of two (2) years of oncology nursing experience to
include recent experience in administering chemotherapy and
biotherapy agents.
--- Knowledge of medical terminology, knowledge of nursing care
methods and procedures, in-depth knowledge of health and safety
guidelines and procedures (i.e. sanitation, decontamination etc.).
