Job Description:
A company is looking for a Director of Investment
Accounting.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily investment accounting transactions ensuring accuracy
and adherence to reporting standards
Prepare and review financial statement disclosures and schedules
related to the investment portfolio
Lead and develop a team of investment accounting professionals,
providing mentorship and oversight
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
8+ years of experience in investment accounting, financial
reporting, or auditing, preferably within the insurance or
financial services industry
Strong understanding of Statutory and GAAP accounting standards for
investments
Experience with structured securities, options, limited
partnerships, and commercial mortgage loan investments is highly
beneficial
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills with the ability
to mentor and develop accounting professionals
